Last Saturday I went to Crematology X Cipete, the newest branch for Crematology after Senopati & Puri. Natasha from Yummy Traveler asked me to join the Saturday Brunch with her.

Cappuccino

I tried the cappuccino. It tasted good with medium acidity.

Now let’s talk about the food. The brunch set menu is for IDR 299.000 nett. You will get 5 courses menu prepared by Patrese Vito and Ardika Dwitama. The brunch only available 1 day at last Saturday, 5 November 2016 for lunch and dinner time. They held the event to celebrate the opening for their newest branch at Cipete area.

Java Sea Prawn

Butter poached prawn, potato vichyssoise, truffle foam and herbs

My first time trying potato vichyssoise. It’s actually a thick soup made of puréed leeks, onions, potatoes, cream, and chicken stock. In Crematology, they add the vichyssoise with truffle foam on the top. The soup was really good, creamy but tasted very light and I can tasted the truffle in there. The prawn tasted delicious too. You can dip the prawn to the soup or enjoy it separately. It’s up to you.

Day Caught Fish

Red snapper with burnt leeks, light fish curry, cauliflower flurettes, zuchinni strings

The red snaper cooked perfectly. The texture was crunchy on the outside and very soft for the inside. The curry tasted mild and it went very well with the fish.

Tokusen Wagyu D’Rump

with sundried tomato relish, toasted black bean, seaweed, caramelized onion and carrot puree

Next one was the delicious wagyu. Beautiful presentation and the meat was cooked perfectly. I liked the puree too.

Gin & Tonic

Tipsy cake, lime ge, gin & tonic jelly, light vanilla cream, citrus zest

The first dessert was Gin & Tonic cake. The tipsy cake sounds really fun right ? Don’t worry, it won’t make you tipsy after you eat the cake. The presentation was really simple but beautiful. You can tasted the gin & tonic in there, it’s very light. Loved the light vanilla cream. It’s not too sweet.

Coffee, Soursop & Milk Chocolate

Cocoa nibs 30s sponge, soursop sorbet, coffee crumbs, coffee chantily, milk chocolate foam

Can’t miss the last dessert. I liked this dessert especially for the soursop sorbet. Really a brilliant idea to combine chocolate and soursop.
